pois, e não é que pessoas da
cidade de “a’ra sü” (araci) encontraram uma forma boa, terapêutica, cultural e
artística de aproveitar seus recursos
naturais?!

o artesanato, feito com a palha
do ariri e fibra do caroá (neoglaziovia variegata). uma espécie de
bromélia, da família bromeliaceae. o caroá
é uma planta linda, com poucas folhas, e ramo comprido de flores rosáceas.
é um artesanato tradicional,
o qual, alguns dos objetos produzidos remontam às tradições indígenas do
trançado e criação de cestos utilitários, com formatos, e tamanhos diferentes.
entretanto, atualmente na cidade de araci, é produzido, também, para decoração de
ambientes.
as artesãs e artesãos de
araci, especializaram-se no tratamento dado à fibra das plantas utilizadas na
criação dos objetos, que lhe dão durabilidade e beleza, pois as fibras parecem “ouro”,
como na história de ‘rumpelstiltskin’.
como se não fosse
suficiente, as artesãs e artesãos de araci, transformarem “palha em ouro”. quem
visitar esta cidade da bahia poderá degustar um excelente pirão de peixe, ou
ainda apreciar, pela manhã, ou à tarde, a cachoeira do inferno ou ainda, no mês de
junho, divertir-se muito nas festas juninas, ou nas “festas de negros”. enfim,
aproveitar coisas legais...
a’rá sü, araci, é da
palha-ouro, é das águas na caatinga, é das boas festas, é da boa comida, é do
caroá, é do artesanato. ângela frança

with tupi indigenous name (a'ra sü), araci city,
located at the northeast mesoregion of bahia, in the northeast of the city of
serrinha, about 210 km from salvador. has a friendly population, with more than
50,000 inhabitants. it's called "sisaleira area region", thanks to
the sisal, fibrous plant, well adapted to the semi-arid climate of the region.
yes, and it's not that people in the city of "a’ra
sü" (aracy) found a good form, therapeutic, cultural and artistic to
harness their natural resources?!
the craft, made with straw ariri and fiber of
caroá (neoglaziovia variegata).
a species of bromeliad, bromeliaceae
family. the caroá is a beautiful plant, with few leaves, and long branch
flower rosettes.

town of bahia can enjoy an excellent fish mush, or still enjoying the morning
or afternoon, waterfall of hell, or even, in the month of june, so much fun in
the junes, or the "black
party". anyway, enjoy cool stuff ...
a’ra sü, araci, is the straw-gold, is in waters, is
the season's greetings, it's good food, it's the caroá, is the
